Green Conference Options
The conference committee is working to make NMEA 2009 the
greenest conference yet. We contracted with Asilomar
Conference Grounds specifically because of their focus on
conservation.
Additionally, we are encouraging all attendees to bring
reusable water bottles, coffee mugs and tote bags from
home. Since that is not always possible, a very limited
number will be available for purchase at the
conference.

make NMEA 2009 an environmentally friendly event,

Buddy Breakfast
Each year NMEA attempts to match up first-time conference
attendees with seasoned conference goers. The
Buddy Breakfast is on Tuesday, June 30 at 7:15 a.m.
If
you have signed up, you can meet your
buddy and ask/answer questions about the conference and
NMEA.
Special Opportunities
A number of informal science institutions in our region have
offered special programs and pricing options to NMEA 2009
conference attendees. We don’t have all the details worked
out at this time. But if you’re interested in adding a
visit to one of these great sites either before or after the
conference, let us know and we’ll send you more information. |
